Bird delivers another breath of fresh air into the music industry with her second album release Girl and a Cello. Here, classic sounds of the Cello form the base to eleven tracks of fast-paced percussion, modern harmonised vocals and Lily Allen style lyrics. Unique, young and funky fresh!

 

Picking up the cello at the age of six, Janie Price (aka Bird) became quite the virtuoso cellist and singer at a very young age. Later, she would learn the drums as well and work her way through glam rock bands and all-girl punk groups for a few years.  The British multi-instrumentalist soon ended up touring with major artists such as Vanessa-Mae and Kenneth Bager. She was heavily featured on Just Jack’s 2007 album Overtones [#2 UK charts, #91 US] and recently finished recording for his new album, to be released later this year.
